Focus on the Future
To empower women and eliminate racism, we must meet our community where they are most vulnerable and provide the compassion and services that place them on a path to self-sufficiency and prosperity.
Our vision is to create a society in which all people can achieve their full potential in a world without discrimination. This requires a focus on the future, anticipating the needs of our community, and creating innovative solutions to the problems most often faced.
Our programs focus on women’s health, survivor support, children’s development, family enrichment, and racial justice advocacy.
Our Departments
Victim Services
Our Victim Services Department includes both our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault programs. Through our Emergency DV Shelter and 24/7 Rape Crisis Center, we can provide a broad range of services for survivors and community advocacy.
Racial Justice
We host anti-racism workshops, Lunch & Learn Webinars, Online Book Discussions, a Racial Justice Challenge, and a Stand Against Racism Conference. With a focus on advocacy, we also partner with other community organizations as we strive toward achieving equity throughout Northwest Ohio.
Healthy Connections
We strive to serve the community with education and outreach about breast cancer by providing support, early detection, and awareness. You can participate in our Mammogram Days or join our breast cancer support group.
Child Care Resource & Referral
Serving parents, children, foster families, and child care centers, our CCR&R department offers a wide range of services. Specifically, we offer Ohio Approved Training, Parenting Classes, Free Children’s Activities, and a variety of Business Supports for Child Care Providers.
Youth Development
We educate, support, and teach students skills to lead brighter futures by giving them the opportunity for growth and development through year-round programming.
Housing
We are committed to providing quality, affordable housing to women and children with unique needs in a permanent supportive housing setting. The families that we serve have access to community resources and referrals along with onsite case management.
