Our mission is to make Northwest Ohio safer for women and girls.

AMEND Together is a primary prevention initiative dedicated to ending violence against women and girls by engaging men and boys to become a part of the solution. AMEND seeks to challenge the culture that supports violence, cultivate healthy masculinity, and change the future for women and girls.

BECOME A PARTNERING SCHOOL

AMEND Together provides clubs for Toledo Public School students in grades 6-12. Our clubs create a safe space for boys to develop socially and emotionally, build positive relationships, learn about healthy masculinity, participate in service projects, events, and field trips, and receive mentorship and guidance while navigating their journey into manhood.

AMEND TOGETHER CLUBS HELP IMPROVE:

School Climate and Culture, Parent Engagement, Character, Behavior, Attitude, Academic Performance, School Attendance, Leadership, Peer-to-Peer, and Personal Relationships.

BECOME AN AMEND TOGETHER AMBASSADOR

AMEND Together Ambassadors are prominent leaders and members of the Northwest Ohio region. These men and women lend their expertise to help the AMEND Together program succeed in our goals. Amend Together Ambassadors work with YWCA on strategic planning, fundraising, outreach, and events.

AMEND TOGETHER PROGRAMMING

AMEND Together school presentations and assemblies engage, educate, and empower middle school and high school students by giving them a voice and equipping them to be difference-makers in their school, home, and community. Our school presentations and assemblies aim to build a strong culture, develop healthy relationships, and improve confidence. Available topics include Bullying, Healthy Relationships, and Personal Development.
AMEND Together professional development and staff training workshops help administrators and staff develop healthy relationships, resolve conflict, build school culture, and improve mental health. Available topics include Building School Culture, Creating Resilient Students, and Developing Healthy Relationships.
The WIN Today Summit identifies your school's critical student issues while developing a student-centered action plan to address them. This powerful program will redefine student leadership and unleash your community's best leaders in a unified movement to revitalize your school.
AMEND Together mentoring curriculum offers a peer-to-peer program that teaches middle school and high school students how to develop valuable social-emotional, relationship, and communication skills that will build resiliency and enhance school culture. Your student mentors will be taught how to teach their younger peers, greatly extending guidance efforts across their school and community.
Teen Talk Toledo is an enrichment program that allows high school students to ask questions, exchange ideas, and discuss real and relevant issues impacting their world. T3 transforms lives through programming that promotes communication, resiliency, vulnerability, and healthy relationships.
